Switzerland
TAG Heuer traces to 1860, when Edouard Heuer founded a workshop in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, patenting an early chronograph oscillating pinion in 1887. The investment group Techniques d'Avant Garde (TAG) acquired a controlling stake in 1985, adding its initials to the name; the brand is closely associated with motorsport, including its long-running Carrera and Monaco chronographs, and has been part of the LVMH Group since 1999.
