Philippe Dufour is a Swiss independent watchmaker who opened his own atelier in Le Sentier, in the Vallée de Joux, in 1992 after years making complications for other haute horlogerie houses. Producing only a handful of watches a year, entirely by hand, he is widely regarded by collectors and peers as one of the finest living watchmakers, especially for his Grande et Petite Sonnerie and Simplicity models.
