Parmigiani Fleurier was founded in 1996 in Fleurier, Switzerland by master watchmaker Michel Parmigiani, with early backing from the Sandoz Family Foundation after Parmigiani built a reputation restoring historic timepieces and automata. The manufacture makes most of its own components in-house, including movements, cases, and dials.
