Switzerland
Omega was founded in 1848 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland by Louis Brandt, with the Omega name adopted in 1903 after its highly accurate 19-ligne caliber. The brand became NASA's choice for the Apollo missions — earning the Speedmaster its "Moonwatch" nickname — and has been the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games since 1932.
