KUOE is a Japanese watch brand founded in Kyoto in 2020 by designer Kenji Uchimura, inspired by vintage hand-wound watches he encountered while studying in London. Its debut Old Smith model launched in 2020, and the brand has since built a following for vintage-proportioned, Kyoto-assembled watches like the Old Smith, Royal Smith, and Holborn collections.
