Jaeger-LeCoultre began as Antoine LeCoultre's workshop in 1833 in Le Sentier, Switzerland, and took its current name in 1937 after a long partnership with Parisian watchmaker Edmond Jaeger. Known as a "watchmaker's watchmaker" for supplying movements to other prestigious brands, it introduced the Reverso in 1931 and the Atmos clock, which runs on tiny changes in air temperature.
